Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a nonprofit organization that engages youth ages 11–18 in volunteer opportunities that address community needs and inspire a lifetime ethic of service. Through our network of affiliated chapters across the U.S. and internationally, YVC engages thousands of young people each year in meaningful, educational, team-based service projects that build leadership skills and empathy. Our goal is to create communities defined by compassion, selflessness, and respect for others.
Locally, Youth Volunteer Corps of Kansas City (YVCKC) connects middle and high school students with hands-on service opportunities throughout the metro area. From supporting food pantries and environmental initiatives to partnering with local nonprofits and community organizations, YVCKC empowers youth to make a tangible impact in their community. Summer is one of our most active seasons, with weekly project opportunities designed to keep students engaged, learning and serving while school is out.
