Our Challenge and Commitment
Wyandotte County ranks dead last on measures of health, equity, and wellbeing—a reality that has motivated community leaders to act. In response, Community Health Council of Wyandotte County (CHC) is dedicated to increasing access to health care, improving quality, and advancing equity. We focus on identifying and addressing health inequities, amplifying community voices, delivering direct services, and serving as a convener, organizer, and intermediary for collective health improvement. Our efforts are guided by a commitment to ensure that no one is left behind. We are turning this vision into reality through strategic partnerships, advocacy, and direct impact.
The mission of the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County is to enhance health outcomes in Wyandotte County and the Greater Kansas City metro area.
We achieve our mission by developing strategic collaborations and innovative programs with our community partners to meet local needs. CHC believes that every individual has both the ability and the inherent right to lead and shape the community in which they live.
Every person affiliated with CHC, whether staff, board member, or volunteer, is deeply committed to this goal. Our entire team brings passion and dedication to the mission of improving the health and lives of those in our community.
