Brian Wong

Co-found and CEO

Brian Wong is the co-founder and CEO of Kiip (pronounced “keep”), a category-creating mobile rewards network that is redefining mobile advertising through an innovative platform that leverages “moments of achievement” in games and apps to simultaneously benefit users, developers, and advertisers. He recently authored “The Cheat Code: Going Off Script to Get More, Go Faster, and Shortcut Your Way to Success”.

Kiip has been named one of the world’s 50 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company, listed by Forbes as one of the Four Hot Online Ad Companies to Put on Your Watch List, and included on the Dow Jones FasTech50 list. After skipping four K-12 grades, Wong received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia at age 18, and shortly after became one of the youngest people to ever receive venture capital funding.

He has been recognized with many awards for his accomplishments and leadership, including the Business Insider’s Top 25 Under 25 in Silicon Valley, 30 Under 30 in Advertising, 18 Most Important People in Mobile Advertising, Mashable’s Top 5 Entrepreneurs to Watch; one of the iMedia 25 Internet Marketing Leaders and Innovators; and Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in multiple years.

Ray Kowalik is the Chairman and CEO of Burns & McDonnell leading 5,700 employees whose work generates annual revenue of $2.8 billion. Burns & McDonnell has more than 40 locations across the globe and ranks No. 14 on the list of largest engineering, architecture and construction firms, according to Engineering News-Record, and No. 16 on Fortune’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Kowalik joined Burns & McDonnell in 1987 and built his career in the Energy Group. He served as the group’s vice president in 2001, senior vice president and general manager in 2004, and president in 2007. Kowalik joined the firm’s Board of Directors in 2009 and was named executive vice president and president of global practices in 2015. Kowalik became the firm’s eighth CEO in 2017.

In addition to leading the company, Kowalik invests time and energy into organizations that support education, health and economic development for the Kansas City area. His civic involvements include the Board Chair for United Way of GKC, the Board for the KCADC and Notre Dame de Sion, the Civic Council, and a member of the Dean’s Engineering Advisory Council for the College of Engineering at his alma mater, the University of Missouri.
