Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City announces 2017 Award Winners.
OVERLAND PARK, KAN.—The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City (AACC) will be honoring the accomplishments of local Asian Americans in business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and professional leadership at its 14th Annual Awards Gala. This year’s awardees are: Professional Leader of the Year – Dr. Haseeb Ahmed, Health Suite 110, Entrepreneur of the Year – Mike Bosch, RG Fiber, Civic Leader of the Year – Kansas City Chinese American Association Youth Hope Fund, and Corporation of the Year – Polsinelli. Nominations were accepted from the community at large.
The AACC’s Gala will be held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel located at 6100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan. 66211 on Thursday, May 11, 2017 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
This year’s keynote speaker is Brian Wong. Mr. Wong is the co-founder and CEO of Kiip (pronounced “keep”), a category-creating mobile rewards network that is redefining mobile advertising. Kiip has been named one of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company, listed by Forbes as one of the Four Hot Online Ad Companies to Put on Your Watch List, and included on the Dow Jones FasTech50 List. Brian has also recently authored “The Cheat Code: Going Off Script to Get More, Go Faster, and Shortcut Your Way to Success”.
Ray Kowalik, Chairman and CEO of Burns & McDonnel, will serve as honorary chair.
